Team Building Activities at WildFit

Over 20 different team building activity choices

Whether your group is highly athletic or completely new to fitness, we tailor every session to ensure everyone feels included, challenged and supported. All our sessions are designed to balance fun, teamwork and personal challenge. Activities can be adapted to suit your group’s goals, whether that’s bonding, fitness, or just a great day outdoors.

All sessions are fully instructed. Our core activities are centred around our unique obstacle course however for groups spending more than two to three hours at a time, or returning groups we have over 20 different team building activities in-house. In addition we can also offer third party in our amazing space. 

For larger groups after an initial group rapport warm-up we generally split into groups of 15-20 and rotate around our amazing WildFit Surrey activities in 25-30 minutes timeslots. This makes sure everyone is engaged all the time.

1 – Full Group warm-up rapport building & fun relays 

A great way to start the event. This fun warm up gets people moving, collaborating and releasing inhibitions. It also fires up the nervous, getting the body ready for the obstacles.  We often start with some partner cooperation movement exercises, move onto some jumping and playful hoping and complete with a weave, crawl and tractor tyre flip relay.

2 – Ninja Ramp, Irish Table & Sprint Track run-offs

You’ve seen it on TV, it’s now time to have a go on our 8ft and 12ft monster ninja ramp.  First have a go individually, then try as a team.  Next onto our Irish table challenge where you just have to get over it! Then choose a partner of similar competitiveness (or lack of it!) for our nine obstacle sprint sprint track run-off.

3 – Main obstacles run-through

The main event! First time round the course we keep the group (or sub-group) together for a walk/run through of obstacle #10-#35 with the instructors giving coaching tips, technique, risk analysis and alternatives. This is a chance for everyone to have a go on every obstacle, if they choose to do so, in a supportive environment.

4 – Own-pace/timed individual full 35 obstacles run

A chance to let rip for the more athletic, as well as, for the less athletic, a chance take on a challenge obstacle/s without the peer pressure.  We set off individuals one at a time, the fastest first, at set intervals (such as 20 seconds) and record a time for each participant. If taking seriously we give time penalties for missed or half completed obstacles.

5 – 70m Zip Wire

Always a crowd favourite for kids and big kids our 70 metre zip wire offer simple fun with a bit of fitness for the pullers as well. The zip wirers get on and off at the bottom and are pulled up by one or two of their friends.  This ensures maximum safety, is time efficient and with participants pulling as well as zip wiring it engages more people at a time.

6 – Laser target shooting (or Laser run)

Sharpen your focus with our Laser Target Shooting challenge! This engaging activity blends precision, concentration, and friendly competition as teams take aim and test their accuracy. It’s a great way to build confidence, encourage focus under pressure, and support one another—all while having plenty of fun hitting the target together.  Our Laser Run (now part of Modern Pentathlon) involves 5 x 500m runs interspersed with laser target shooting (think biathlon without the skis!).

7 – Axe throwing

Take aim with our Axe Throwing challenge! This thrilling activity combines focus, precision, and a dash of friendly competition as teams go head-to-head hitting the target. It’s a unique way to build confidence, relieve stress, and cheer each other on—perfect for bringing out your group’s adventurous side in a safe, guided environment.

8 – FitLight reaction lights plus skills challenges 

Our FitLight reaction lights enable us to set up differing speed, agility and/or reaction time set-up.  These are short burst activities one at a time for 10-20 seconds.  Times/placings are recorded in milliseconds.  We also add in skills challenges to this activity such as netball shoot out and corn hole bag throw to keep everyone engaged/challenged.

9 – Team ski walk

Step into sync with our Ski Walk team challenge! Strapped into shared wooden planks, your team must move as one—testing coordination, communication and trust every step of the way. It’s fast-paced, energising, and guaranteed to spark laughter while building real teamwork skills. Can your group find the rhythm and cross the finish line together?

10 – Campfire, stories & marshmallows

Unwind together with our Campfire, Stories & Marshmallows experience! Gather around the fire for a relaxed evening of storytelling, laughter, and shared moments. This laid-back setting encourages connection, conversation, and reflection—helping your team bond naturally while enjoying a touch of nostalgia and the simple pleasure of being together.

11 – 4 way tug of war

Pull in every direction with our 4-Way Tug of War challenge! Teams face off from all sides in a high-energy test of strength, strategy, and teamwork. It’s not just about pulling harder—it’s about pulling smarter. Expect big laughs, quick thinking, and plenty of competitive spirit as your group battles to stay balanced and come out on top!

12 – Pairs/triple competitive/playful team circuit challenges

In two or three teams, ever changing pairs or triples will complete against each in 10+ 60 second playful challenges.  The challenges are a mix of physical and skilful are tailored to you group but could include: cornhole; Concept2; nail game; FitLight reaction; hang tough; stability ball kneeling foam roller joust; stability ball wrestle; rope-a-dope; sumo circle; axe throwing.

13 – Individual challenges

Select your team members to take on the toughest of WildFit challenges – 12ft ninja ramp, rope swing distance, brick lift, slackline challenge and hang tough.  All must take part, select who does what.

14 – WildFit Enduro 

A hyrox inspired, functional fitness competition WildFit style! 9 x 500m steeple chase runs interspersed with 9 functional strength challenges: sprint track obstacles; wall jumps; rope climbs; cargo net; rock farmers carry; sandbag lift; crawl & tractor tyre flip; ninja ramp.

15 – WildFit ball

A flexible three team game unique to WildFit but with netball, capture the flag vibes.  Each team has a goal to which other teams must throw/place various balls/objects into in an allotted time. 

16 – Human knot / moon ball

Get tangled up in our Human Knot challenge! This fun and interactive activity puts communication, problem-solving and teamwork to the test as your group works together to untwist the knot—without letting go. Expect plenty of laughs, creative thinking, and a real sense of achievement when you finally break free!

17 – Athlete performance 

We have expertise in C.H.E.K. posture and core assessment, primal pattern movement, olympic lifting and sports specific training and programming.  OCR racing, Modern Pentathlon, snow sports, running, rugby are just a few of our sports specialities.

18 – Tai Chi & Qigong / breath work / nature bathing

Find balance with our Tai Chi and breath work experience! This calming activity helps teams slow down, reset, and reconnect through gentle movement and mindful breathing. It promotes focus, reduces stress and enhances overall wellbeing—leaving your group feeling refreshed, centered and ready to work together with clarity and calm.

19 – Bar Games

Bring the fun with our classic garden games! From Hammerschlagen and Cornhole to Giant Jenga and Hang Tough, these relaxed yet competitive activities are perfect for breaking the ice and bringing people together. They encourage light-hearted competition, teamwork, and plenty of laughter—creating an easy-going environment where connections grow naturally and everyone can get involved.

20 – Unstructured/freeplay

Unlock creativity with the power of Free, Unstructured Play! This relaxed, open-ended experience gives teams the freedom to explore, connect, and collaborate without rules or pressure. It encourages fresh thinking, natural communication and spontaneous problem-solving—helping your group build stronger relationships and rediscover the joy of simply playing together.  We supervise options such as: 35 obstacles, zip wire, axe-throwing, tree climbing, nature art, barefoot path…

21 – Wellness workshops

Our myth busting, interactive wellness workshops are based on, owner Ollie’s book ‘Uncommon Sense For Health, Weight Loss & Vitality’. They focus on five areas movement, nutrition, rest, toxins and psyche.
